Law Faculty Students Participate in International Human Rights Conference
The International Human Rights Conference “Decade 2014-2024. Reclaiming Human Rights. Preserving Democracy” was held in Kyiv.
Organizers: Ombudsman of Ukraine in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Office of the President of Ukraine, From the People of Japan and UNDP Ukraine.
Representatives of the Faculty of Law of Sumy National University of Science and Technology joined the conference:
Myronenko Tetyana - representative of the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for Human Rights in Sumy region, Candidate of Laws, Associate Professor of the Department of Justice and Philosophy of the Faculty of Law of Sumy National University of Science and Technology.
Verchak Anna, Kubrak Anna, Kulchenko Ariana - students of the Faculty of Law, specialty 081 “Law”.
The main focus of the conference is Ukraine’s resilience in the face of aggression and its role as an example of protecting democratic values on a global scale.
In his speech, the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Dmytro Lubinets, emphasized: "Human rights are not a privilege, but a fundamental value of any state. Our task is to preserve the dignity and rights of everyone even in the most difficult times."
