Mykolaiv National Agrarian University has become the base institution of higher education for holding the All-Ukrainian Student Professional Creative Competition of Scientific Works “Soil Fertility Preservation”. This year's competition was marked by a high level of submitted research, among which the achievements of students from the Department of Geodesy and Land Management of Sumy National Agrarian University were particularly significant.

We sincerely congratulate students Babynets Kateryna and Marchenko Ivan, who became winners of the competition with a relevant and extremely important scientific work on the topic: "Assessment of the state of soils damaged as a result of hostilities in the territory of Sumy region."

Their research is an important step in studying the consequences of military aggression on the ecological state of our country, particularly on the fertility of the soils of Sumy region, which has suffered significant destruction. The students' work demonstrates a deep analysis of the problem and proposes ways for the further restoration of the affected territories.

Special thanks are expressed to the research supervisor of the winners – Prokopenko Natalia, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Geodesy and Land Management of Sumy National Agrarian University, for her professional guidance and support of young scientists.

The victory of Sumy NAU students in such a prestigious competition is evidence of the high level of training of specialists in the field of geodesy and land management, their active civic position, and their desire to solve pressing societal problems.

We wish Kateryna and Ivan further scientific achievements and success in their professional activities! May their research contribute to the restoration and preservation of the fertility of Ukrainian lands.
