On November 20, the Faculty of Law of Sumy National University of Law hosted a meeting of the “Legal Science” section within the framework of the All-Ukrainian Scientific Conference of Students and Postgraduates, dedicated to the International Student Day. The event brought together postgraduates and teachers, creating a space for the presentation of scientific research and professional discussion.

The guarantor of the educational and scientific program, Doctor of Law, Professor Iryna Aristova, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. She emphasized the importance of scientific conferences as a platform for the exchange of ideas, the development of critical thinking and the formation of scientific schools, and also emphasized the importance of intellectual cooperation between applicants and experienced scientists.

The participants presented diverse and relevant research that covered a wide range of problems of modern law, which are consistent with the achievements of the Sustainable Development Goals and the Development Strategy of SNAU.

The audience was particularly interested in the reports of Yuriy Bryzhan (scientific supervisor, Doctor of Laws, Professor S.I. Zapara) “Preventive Mediation as a Means of Preventing Collective Labor Disputes”, Artem Kuznetsov (scientific supervisor, Doctor of Laws, Professor O.V. Rogovenko) “European Practices of Implementing Electronic Democracy at the Level of Municipal Law-Making Subjects” and Konstantin Klymov (scientific supervisor, Candidate of Laws, Associate Professor M.Yu. Kuznetsov) “Legal Boundaries of Using AI Mediators in Resolving Labor Disputes”.

Separately, it is worth mentioning the reports of Serhiy Zlenko (scientific supervisor, Doctor of Laws, Professor M.P. Kurylo) “Guaranteeing Property of the Principles of Civil Procedure” and Vitaliy Melnyk (scientific supervisor, Doctor of Laws, Professor I.V. Aristov) “Green Public Administration: An Ecological Component in the Provision of Administrative Services”, which were delivered on November 19 during the plenary session of the conference. These reports caused a lively discussion and became a worthy approbation of the scientific research of postgraduate students.

The event confirmed that scientific meetings play an important role in the development of legal science, stimulate the professional growth of young researchers and contribute to the formation of an active, cohesive scientific community.

We thank the Defenders of Ukraine for the opportunity to develop Ukrainian science.
