Event theme: Development of a creative approach to the profession of surveyor and land surveyor, and promotion of professional humor among students.
Target audience: Students of different years of study majoring in Geodesy and Land Management.
On March 11, 2026, a creative competition titled «Meme from a Surveyor and Land Surveyor» was held among students to mark the Land Surveyor’s Day. The event was organized to develop students’ creativity, foster a positive attitude toward their future profession, and reinforce knowledge about the specifics of surveyors’ and land managers’ work in a humorous and creative way.
Participants created memes in the form of images, comics, presentations, GIF animations, or short video clips that depicted funny situations from the field of geodesy and land management, the use of professional instruments, and the specifics of work processes. The works were submitted by March 11, after which the competition committee determined the best entries by voting on March 12–13.
According to the results of the competition, 1st place was awarded to 2nd- and 3rd-year students (Vitalina Lytvynenko, Daria Velykorod, and Viktoriia Tokar). 2nd place was taken by a 3rd-year student (Zakhar Aleksieienko), and 3rd place was shared by 1st-year students (Pavlo Kotviakovskyi and Yelyzaveta Karmazina).
On March 13, the results were announced and the winners were awarded. The competition contributed to the development of students’ creative potential and helped create a positive atmosphere within the student community.
