Modern geographic information systems: functionality and application prospects

The lecture attracted considerable attention, arousing lively interest among students and teachers, as it highlighted the topical issues of the use of geo-information technologies in professional activities.
During the lecture, students had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the latest possibilities of information systems (GIS), discuss the prospects of their application in the field of land management and geodesy. The information about the practical use of GIS in European countries was especially interesting, which became a valuable experience for the participants.
