On October 15, 2024, students from Sumy National Agrarian University demonstrated their high scientific potential at the All-Ukrainian Student Research Competition “Scientific Initiatives in Land Management.”

Among over 100 participants from different regions of Ukraine, Master’s student Yana Kocherezhchenko particularly distinguished herself by winning second place with her work “Analysis of the Impact of Land Market Development on Sustainable Development: Ecological, Economic and Social Aspects.” The young researcher proposed innovative approaches to assessing the impact of land reform on the environment and society.

Equally interesting was the work of Vladyslav Sukalenko and Danyil Anikeeienko, under the guidance of Candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor Yuriy Sklyar, dedicated to optimizing the system of agricultural land use to prevent the development of degradation processes. Their research was highly appreciated by the jury for its relevance and scientific novelty.

The victory of SNAU students is evidence of the high level of training of specialists in land management and land resources management at the university. The scientific advisor of the winner, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Olena Rybina, notes: “This success is the result of the hard work of our students and their interest in current problems. We are proud of our students!”
