The forum "Protection of Human Rights in Sumy Region 2014–2024. Problems, Opportunities, Achievements" was held in Konotop district.
The forum became a platform where representatives of state authorities and local governments, international and Ukrainian organizations, and human rights activists gathered.
The representative of the VRU Commissioner for Human Rights in Sumy region, Tetyana Myronenko, summed up the results of a decade of work in the field of human rights protection in Sumy region. She voiced the main results. She focused on achievements, challenges and ways to solve them.
During the forum, algorithms for cooperation, ways to jointly solve problematic issues and further strengthen human rights initiatives were discussed and developed.
A representative of the Faculty of Law of Sumy National University joined the forum: Natalia Prokopenko, senior lecturer at the Department of Geodesy and Land Management.
