On 27 March, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii SYBIHA visited Sumy National Agrarian University as part of his working visit to Sumy region. During the trip, he held several meetings with representatives of the local community and got acquainted with the activities of the university.

During the meeting with the staff of the SNAU, Andrii SYBIHA noted the high level of educational and scientific achievements of the institution, as well as its resilience in the face of military challenges. The Minister stressed that SNAU remains one of the leading agricultural universities in the country, demonstrating an example of resilience and development despite the difficult security situation.

Special attention was paid to the university’s international educational programmes. Andrii SYBIHA noted the successful implementation of a joint master’s programme with the Royal Agricultural University of Great Britain, as well as the development of entrepreneurial initiatives, including business school projects.

The Minister stressed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine will continue to support the region and develop international partnerships for educational and scientific institutions in the frontline regions. ‘I am impressed by the resilience of Sumy and its residents. I am confident in the support of our foreign partners. We are not alone. Ukraine feels it and appreciates it,’ Andrii SYBIHA summed up.

Thus, the visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine to SNAU underlined the importance of developing the educational sector even in the face of military challenges. It demonstrated international support for the university and helped to strengthen ties between Ukraine and its foreign partners.
