Оn July 14, 2025, the university's academic buildings were damaged by Russian UAVs. Among the consequences were broken glass, destroyed walls, damaged educational equipment, damaged classrooms, a distorted facade and a punctured roof. But the most painful thing was the injured employees, as well as a student of the Faculty of Economics and Management.
Monday was a heavy shock for the entire SNAU family. Instead of the usual work regime and relative calm, there were the sounds of explosions, sirens, and anxious calls to relatives asking "How are you?" Fortunately, there were no victims.
Rector of Sumy NAU Igor Kovalenko shared a comment with local media regarding the situation at the institution: "Despite all the challenges, SNAU continues to work. Our walls are not only bricks and concrete. They are people."
Our huge difference from the “people” of a terrorist country lies in unity and mutual assistance. Let's hold on.
