From December 23 to 26, the Department of Geodesy and Land Management of Sumy National Agrarian University successfully defended the qualification works of applicants for the second (master’s) level of education in specialty 193 “Geodesy and Land Management”.
The master’s students presented the results of their own research aimed at solving current problems in the field of land management, geoinformation technologies, spatial planning, rational land use and the implementation of modern digital tools in land management. The works raised issues of forming land management projects, assessing the state of land resources, developing land use schemes, analyzing environmental risks, modeling based on satellite data and other areas important for the present and post-war reconstruction of Ukraine.
The members of the commission noted the high level of training of students, the thoroughness of research, the ability to justify decisions made and defend the results of scientific and practical work. The applicants demonstrated a confident command of the material, the ability to work with data and apply modern methods of analysis in the field of geodesy and land management.
