On March 12, 2026, the energetic intellectual and professional competition GeoBattle was held at Sumy National Agrarian University as part of the Surveyor’s Week. Three teams took part in the competition: “Orientyr,” “Lovtsi,” and the team “ZVeshky” from the Sumy Professional College of Construction and Architecture.

The event began with an exhibition of geodetic instruments, where participants and guests could see levels, total stations, GNSS receivers, and other tools without which modern geodesy and land management are impossible. It was a great opportunity not only to recall the basics of the profession but also to experience its practical side.

The main part of the event took place in the format of a friendly intellectual battle that united the participants into a true professional team. The hall was filled with an atmosphere of excitement, support, and healthy competition. Students of Sumy NAU actively supported one another and warmly welcomed the guest team from the Sumy Professional College of Construction and Architecture, creating a sense of a united community of future specialists in the field of geodesy and land management.

A bright and symbolic moment of the event was the humorous oath of the future land surveyor, during which the participants solemnly promised to work accurately and responsibly and to represent their profession with dignity.

The organizer and host of the event was Olena Rybina, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor of the Department of Geodesy and Land Management, who created an atmosphere of lively professional communication, friendly rivalry, and teamwork.

GeoBattle once again proved that geodesy and land management are not only about precise measurements and coordinates but also about team spirit, creativity, and a genuine love for the profession. The event gave participants a great mood, new impressions, and reminded everyone once again: if you have the right coordinates, you will always find the right path.
