Event topic: Introducing students to admission opportunities and study programs in the specialty «Geodesy and Land Management»

Target audience: senior students of general secondary education institutions

As part of ongoing career guidance activities, on March 31, 2026, Associate Professor Yu. L. Skliar held a meeting with students of Chernechchyna Lyceum (a hub educational institution) of Okhtyrka District. The event was aimed at informing prospective applicants about opportunities to obtain higher education in the specialty “Geodesy and Land Management.”

During the meeting, students were introduced to the specifics of the educational program, admission requirements, the organization of the academic process, and career prospects in the fields of geodesy and land resource management. Particular attention was paid to the relevance of this specialty in the context of modern territorial development, infrastructure restoration, and the rational use of land resources.

Participants of the event learned about opportunities for academic and industrial internships, participation in field geodetic surveys, the use of modern equipment (GNSS receivers, total stations, unmanned aerial vehicles, and geographic information systems), as well as employment prospects in land management organizations, design institutions, local government bodies, cadastral services, and construction companies.

During the meeting, students had the opportunity to ask questions regarding the admission campaign, study conditions, practical training, and further career opportunities. The event was held in the format of an open dialogue, which contributed to increasing students’ interest in choosing their future profession and forming a clear understanding of the перспективність and significance of the specialty “Geodesy and Land Management.”
