Moderator: Nataliia Kapinos, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Geodesy and Land Management, Sumy National Agrarian University.
Lecturer: Vasyl Kovalchuk, Director of LLC “Novyi Vymir,” specialist in the field of geodesy and land management, certified geodetic engineer and land management engineer.
Target audience: higher education students of specialty G18 “Geodesy and Land Management” of Sumy National Agrarian University.
On April 2, a guest lecture titled “Features of Processing Tachymetric Survey Data Using the Digitals Software Package” was held at the Department of Geodesy and Land Management of Sumy National Agrarian University.
During the lecture, practical aspects of processing tachymetric survey data were presented, including the specifics of importing field data, their structuring, performing calculations, and generating graphical outputs in the Digitals software environment. Particular attention was paid to common data processing errors and ways to avoid them, which sparked significant interest among the students.
Drawing on his professional experience, the lecturer demonstrated real-world examples of geodetic work, emphasized accuracy requirements, and highlighted modern approaches to automating office (post-field) processing of geodetic data.
The event was held in an engaging and interactive atmosphere, contributing to the enhancement of students’ practical knowledge and increasing their interest in applying modern software tools in their professional activities.
We sincerely thank Vasyl Kovalchuk for an informative and practice-oriented lecture!
